The aftermath of birthday gift making

I made a Rubik's cube with keyboard keys for Brendan and made the most wonderful mess all over the dining room.

NB abandoned first attempt with cheapo cube top right (just didn't feel right) and failed (destroyed) second attempt front centre. In the end I abandoned the large holes and settled for small holes with nails to provide the mechanical attachment, then lots of hot glue.
