So after three gruelling rounds I made the final of the office cake baking knockout competition. This was my final effort, which was clearly the best cake ever produced by human hand.

Sadly the judges did not agree and I missed the title by a margin of just 20% of the vote. CURSE YOU, Pecan Sponge. You are slightly less sickly than chocolate mousse.
