I really wanted to braai tonight and was going really well, until the heavens opened. What you can't see in this photo is the torrential downpour that preceded it. Halid, and his camera, were cowering in fear indoors while I braved the typhoon to keep the food cooking.
Seriously, opening the lid for more than ten seconds made a serious difference to the heat of the coals. It was ridiculous. This is July, people; what's going on?!
