I was particularly amused by how the sponge turned out. I grated chocolate into the mix in the misapprehension that it would disperse a bit better.. as it was, I ended up with this strangely speckled effect. I also overdid the chocolate icing which came out.. somewhat resilient, shall we say.
The organisers asked for the name of the recipe so I facetiously suggested "Chocolate mousse sandwich with speckled sweet sponge and shatterproof icing". It ended up, verbatim, on the company blog.
