On Sunday I took the car out for a quick run to Pershore to see some big, brassy ones on stage. Alan from w1k was conducting a band (and playing tuba in another) in a freestyle competition Despite a quite arresting solo by their eleven year-old virtuoso they didn't place but it was an entertaining afternoon nontheless. And Alan bought me a pint so it was economical as well as fun.
