My Dad gave.. sorry, made, a biltong drying box for me for Christmas. This week I test-drove it with astonishingly successful results, considering I used out-of-date Tesco rump steak. Only took three days too (the four day stick was so dry I dropped it on the floor and dented the concrete) and was so salty I had to wash it down with copious amounts of ale.. yep, it looks like I'll have gout by Easter.
